Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
How much do they go for?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go women’s golden goose shoes up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.

Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
